Helpful Dates to Keep in Mind:

8 Weeks: This is the soonest you should bring your puppy home. They have had plenty of litter socialization, learned how to eat solid foods, and had an appropriate amount of time to learn proper manners from their mom. This is also when they should receive their first parvovirus vaccine if it was not already provided by the breeder.
12 Weeks: Simple training has begun for your puppy and they are learning who their new master is and how to appropriately behave in their new home. They should also receive a Parvovirus Booster shot at about this age, depending on when the first dose was given.
16 Weeks: Your puppy has learned a trick or two, but most importantly is developing manners. Ideally they are having less accidents in the house and you should be proud of the progress the two of you have made. It is also time for their final Parvovirus shot.
